Functions of the Budget and Finance Committee

Recommend a Budget to the Tarzana Neighborhood Council.
Recommend financial controls and authorization levels for expenditures.
Review actual expenditures versus the budget and make any recommendations.
Recommend budget revisions when appropriate.
Review compliance of our neighborhood council with Los Angeles City and DONE (Department of Neighborhood Empowerment) policies and procedures.
Review and insure that expenditures are in line with the purposes of the Neighborhood Council, as provided in its Bylaws.

At the request of the neighborhood council, perform such other related functions as requested by the Tarzana Neighborhood Council Board of Governors.

Policy and Procedure for Requesting and Obtaining Funding From the TNC. This procedure should be used by all individuals and organizations (including Board members and Board Committees) when approaching the TNC Budget Committee to obtain funding.

The Committee usually meets the third Wednesday of each month at the Tarzana/Encino Public Library, 18231 Ventura Blvd., Tarzana, at 6:00 pm.
