Community Announcements Plastic Bags Take Another Hit in Sacremento The Assembly Natural Resources Committee approved AB 2058 (Levine), which would require grocery chains and large drug stores levy a 15-cent fee on each plastic bag unless they meet recycling goals. Stores would be required to demonstrate a 35 percent increase in recycling by July 1, 2011, and a 70 percent increase by July 1, 2013. |
